健康时报是由人民日报社主办的一份健康生活服务类周报,创办于2000年1月6日,每周一、四出版,全国发行,目前在北京、杭州、西安、兰州、重庆、太原、常州、济南、广州设有9个分印点,是我国健康生活服务类报纸中受众量最大、影响力最强的报纸之一。
健康时报充分依托中国第一大报——人民日报,与其共享新闻信息资源。其以“健康生活”为核心内容,贴近生活,面向百姓,服务群众,融新闻性、实用性、服务性于一体,以做中国人的健康顾问为己任,培养公众健康的生活方式,倡导强健的生命观,坚持在健康生活服务类报纸中,突出主流声音,引导大众追求健康的生活方式,满足广大读者对医药、卫生、保健信息的需求,揭露假医假药和损害人民健康的行为。
2010年4月23日,在全国妇联、品牌中国产业联盟主办的2010品牌中国(女性)高峰论坛上,健康时报被评为“2010最受女性喜爱的十大品牌报刊”。
2010年4月23日,首届中国传媒融合高峰论坛在京举行,健康时报被评为2009-2010年度“最具传媒融合力的报业案例”。该奖项是经中国传媒大学传媒经济研究所以及国内50名知名媒体专家审慎评定的。
2009年,在由中国传媒思想库史坦国际发起,并与著名国际投资机构联合主办的中国最具投资价值媒体评选活动中,健康时报被中国传媒论坛学术委员会评定为中国最具投资价值媒体。是唯一一份入选的健康类报纸。
2009年,由中国人民大学新闻学院、复旦大学新闻学院、中国传媒大学电视与新闻学院、武汉大学新闻学院等10家重点大学新闻学院联合评选中,健康时报被评定了“中国十大行业媒体”。
